A ug 1 99 4 Numerical investigation of iso - spectral cavities built from triangles

چکیده
We present computational approaches as alternatives to the recent microwave cavity experiment by S. (1994)) on iso-spectral cavities built from triangles. A straightforward proof of iso-spectrality is given based on the mode matching method. Our results show that the experiment is accurate to 0.3% for the first 25 states. The level statistics resemble those of GOE when the integrable part of the spectrum is removed.

We show how the state of an atom trapped in a cavity can be teleported to an atom trapped in a distant cavity simply by detecting photon decays from the cavities. This is a rare example of a decay mechanism being made to play a constructive role in quantum information processing. The scheme is comparatively easy to implement, requiring the minimal technology of being able to trap a single three...

We present results concerning a lattice study of the electroweak ρ-parameter. We have used an SU(2) × U(1) symmetric chiral Yukawa model built with Zaragoza fermions. The decoupling of the species doublers in this model is verified numerically. We find that the numerical data for ∆ρ are well described by one-loop perturbation theory in the same finite volume and with the same finite cutoff. How...

The evolution of a global monopole with an inflating core is investigated. An analytic expression for the exterior metric at large distances from the core is obtained. The overall spacetime structure is studied numerically, both in vacuum and in a radiation background.
متن کاملRegularised marching tetrahedra: improved iso-surface extraction
Marching cubes is a simple and popular method for extracting iso-surfaces from implicit functions or discrete three-dimensional (3-D) data. However, it does not guarantee the surface to be topologically consistent with the data, and it creates triangulations which contain many triangles of poor aspect ratio. Marching tetrahedra is a variation of marching cubes, which overcomes this topological ...
